Casa Susana Donativo for sale

It is with mixed emotions that I have decided to leave Galicia, journeying to family in the UK first, whilst awaiting flights to Australia.

So my 130+ year old stone home is for sale, as is, walk in, walk out as we say. The price is  80,000 euros.

I will load some photos and more available on request. susannatemple@gmail.com

Description: Typical village simple stone dwelling, with the stable area downstairs and living area on the second floor. Downstairs has had the addition of a flushing toilet, shower and kitchen with a wood burning stove, with marble benchtop, a sofa bed and chairs and table. Downstairs the floors and walls are stone.

Upstairs has new chestnut floors and ceilings and has a large bedroom, with wood burning stove, bed, sofa  and bath; a large lounge dining area; a small kitchen with 2 gas burner stove, sink, microwave, and fridge; connected to the kitchen is a walk in pantry with shelves and a large linen cupboard.

The main entrance to the house opens into a small vestibule with the new wooden stairs to upstairs, and alternatively entry to downstairs areas. The other entrance is by double stable doors. These doors open on to a cool covered area, complete with ferns, which previously was the pilgrim rest area, where basic provisions were supplied in exchange for a donation.

The last photos are a model of my home which appears in the Provincial Museum of Lugo as a typical village stone home.
I have tried to keep the outer appearance in keeping with this style, including paying huge amounts for a replacement roof in local stone, rather than the more modern slate. Inside although slightly more modernised, I have paid for electricity rewiring using a combination of copper pipes and like a cloth cord when visible, and old style ceramic light switches.
